What is Be Soothed Shampoo?
1-800-PetMeds Be Soothed Shampoo is a dog shampoo made with tea tree oil and aloe vera. Be Soothed Shampoo relieves bacterial, fungal, and yeast infections on the skin. It is an ideal shampoo for all dogs and puppies over 8 weeks of age, and is especially helpful in killing bacteria associated with scratches, surface wounds, and hot spots. To help skin irritations between baths, use Be Soothed Spray.

How this product should be used:
Gently wash the irritated area with a mild soap or shampoo. Rinse well. Trim hair at site if the coat is long. Mist skin until visibly moist. Apply twice a day.

There are no known side effects.
What special precautions are there:
1-800-PetMeds Be Soothed. Tea Tree Oil Skin Relief is for external use on puppies and dogs 8 weeks of age or older only. Do not use 1-800-PetMeds Be Soothed. Tea Tree Oil Skin Relief on cats. Avoid getting spray in your dog's eyes. Apply to a cloth to apply product to face and surrounding area.
In the event of overdose:
Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency room.
How should I store this product:
Store at controlled room temperature.
Directions:
- Using warm water, wet dog's coat thoroughly. Apply shampoo from tail to head and gently massage deep into coat and skin.
- Do not let shampoo get into your dog's eyes.
- Allow the shampoo to remain on your dog for several minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean, warm water.
Tip:
Use Be Soothed Spray between baths to help kill bacteria associated with skin infections.

my golden has had problems for years with itching due to allergies. I had tried the Be Soothed for his hot spots during summer and was very satisfied with it. when reordering recently, I decided to try this shampoo. I have always asked my groomer to use a gentle shampoo and also purchased some from my veterinary. Ollie always seemed to itch even after a bath. my groomer used this shampoo on Ollie and it was wonderful to see him not itching! be soothed shampoo also made his coat shiny and soft when his hair seemed to be course and dull. Overall very happy with this product :)

Wow everyone who owns a Dog should buy this Shampoo, this is the BEST Shampoo i ever bought i have a Yorkie and i didn't know what else to use for her not to smell bad after a day of her bath and this product is AMAZING

Hair loss
I bought this to use on my dog. She has skin allergies and constant itching. I use the spray, it works wonders, but the shampoo was too much!! IT actually made her hair start falling out, she was shedding all over the house! I I was afraid she was going to lose it all.This is apparently too harsh for some dogs.

Didn't work for my Yorkie
My Yorkie tends to have a rash in the spine area...running down her back from neck to tail. I am guessing its from the Advantix that I use on her since its in the same location. I bought the tea tree shampoo hoping this would clear it up for her since her oatmeal shampoo doesn't take it away completely. The tea tree shampoo actually did the opposite for some reason; it made the rash spread and was much more angry. I shampooed her on two occasions and noticed it was worse after the second bath, which was 2 weeks later. So I went back to her oatmeal shampoo and its less angry. I think the shampoo was too strong for her sensitive skin.
I rated the ease of use a 3 since you have to be very careful to keep it away from the eyes and I had to just use her old shampoo on her head instead of the tea tree.

This stuff works
Every summer, my adult female mix gets a red rear end and her tail loses hair. She's miserable and looks terrible. We started using the Be Soothed shampoo and spray last summer. As we were giving her a bath today, we both noticed that she isn't having that hair loss problem at all. The picture included shows how she gets...this is from a couple of summers ago.

This is a great product!
My poor doggie was itching and scratching and gnawing herself from hot spots that got even worse when the hot weather set in. After just one shampooing I noticed her skin wasn't as red or inflamed and she wasn't scratching/gnawing as much. I've bathed her with it twice so far and her skin is improving. Great product and it's a HUGE bottle for 10 dollars. I'm going to buy the tea tree oil spray for in between her baths.

I have a pitbull lab mix. She has always had skin allergies, she would itch herself raw. I bought this product because of all the great reviews. We tried it on her, and she seemed to itch less, granted we have only used it once so far, I'm hoping after the 3rd wash she will stop itching all together. The smell is kind of weird, but at least she smells clean.

Helpful for terrible dog dandruf?
I have a rescued and very old Chocolate Lab from my shelter....a horrible abuse case. She has the worst case of dandruff that I have ever seen. I've tried Malaseb, oatmeal shampoos and ground oatmeal rinses and nothing seems to help. I heard that Tee Tree oil might help her. Do you have any advice for me? Please!
