What is Be Flea Free Spray?
1-800-PetMeds Be Flea Free Spray is a natural spray that kills and repels fleas and mosquitoes on contact. It contains natural cedarwood, peppermint, clove, and rosemary oils which help to repel fleas and mosquitoes. Be Flea Free is also available as a soothing dog shampoo.

How it Works:
Since 1960, cedarwood oil has been registered as a pesticide by the EPA. This ingredient is commonly found in many flea control products because it is believed to be less toxic than other pesticides, but it is still effective in repelling insects, including fleas. Peppermint oil is also a natural repellent against fleas and mosquitoes. The cinnamon and rosemary oils leave your dog's coat smelling fresh and clean.

How this product should be used:
Spray your pet holding the nozzle a foot away. Start spraying your pet at the tail first and then continue spraying the rest of the body including the legs and stomach area. Use your hand to comb through your pet's coat so that the spray reaches the skin. To apply to your pet's face, spray first on a washcloth and then apply. Do not spray directly in your pet's face, eyes or genitals. Repeat as necessary.

More effective than Frontline!
This product is a lifesaver! In one week, my dog's flea bites have cleared up, she never scratches, and we haven't seen a single flea! Even just two weeks ago, her belly was covered in bites and we were picking 6-10 fleas off of her per day! My only complaint is how strong the smell is when I first put it on, but I do like that it doesn't leave her fur oily like most products do.

dosen't work
I bought this spray to supplement the shampoo of the same name. it has a really strong odor and doesn't have any lasting flea repellant. I used it a couple times since the shampoo made my dogs very sick.

rid the flees
As described, the product kills flees on contact. That's simply not true. I've applied several applications over the past few weeks and my pet is still scratching as before each treatment. The product has a really strong oder and it lingers for a week of so. The flee shampoos seam to work more effectively.

very simple effective application
I've had this product before and what I do is spray my dog , a miniature lab and dachshund mix that has a lot of hair, after I spray I massage all under his neck, behind his ears his back, belly, you know rub it in places he can't reach then brush him, wipe his paws off and he's ready to go inside. I live in Florida and the summer months have more new species of mosquitoes and fleas I have ever seen and my dog doesn't get them and his skin isn't dry and he doesn't scratch, he's 3 years old and I'm going to try the bug spray for the yard. Take the extra couple of minutes to care of your pet...he depends on you so give it a try, you will both be thankful and happy

Works good!!
Have to spray on dog's belly everytime before take a walk. Or spray on fleas, they die two second! I tried to use Frontline and Scalibor but always find one or two fleas on my dog after walk. Therefore I use this spray as second prevention. Works good!!

Love this!!!!!!!!!!
I got a puppy last year for my birthday. He was in a house where there were fleas, and I don't like bugs at all. So, I wanted to treat the problem when I brought him home and be done with it, however Kratos was to young for the treatments. I used this spray and the fleas died and never came back. I love the fave that it has no harsh chemicals. We just got a kitten in the family, and wonder if it will work on Athena as well.

Can Be Flea free spray be used on cats?
I see the nstural be flea free spray for dogs, but my cat has tender skin and I think maybe an natural flea spray will be better for him. I put his Front-line Plus on him every month and I use flea spray twice a week. Every little bit helps and it definitely won't hurt him or her

Dogs want their own odor.
I have read that dogs want to smell like themselves, and are unhappy when sprayed with other odors, such as flea spray, flea baths, or "spa" products. They will usually try to rub it off themselves. How true is this?
Dogs don't want to smell themselves, they want to smell other odors, why do you think that's all they do when they go out, smell the grass, smell other dogs, you smell beef stew and dogs smell, beef, carrots, potatoes, celery, onions. They smell everything individually. Why do you think they train dogs to sniff out things. Their sense of smell is extraordinaire

how long does i spray last
I spray him a couple of times a week, depends how the flea population is in the yard but I brush and wipe his paws every time I let him out which is about six times a day. It only takes that one flea or tick and you have a big problem so you have to stay on top of the situation. Protect your little friend

What happens if my dog licks after applying Be Flea Free spray
I am no expert, but I will go off my experience. I usually spray near the hind end where the fleas are mostly located. I have spotted my dog biting and licking near that area after the product was sprayed on and have not noticed any side effects from doing so. Hope that helped!
