How it Works:

The active ingredients include glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM. Glucosamine is a natural compound that is found in healthy cartilage in both humans and pets. It helps hydrate healthy joints by increasing the production of molecules that bind and hold water in the cartilage. Healthy cartilage provides cushioning which helps protect a pet's joints while exercising. Many believe that it provides clinical benefit in the synovial fluid by strengthening cartilage and aiding glycosaminoglycan synthesis. Further research on the effectiveness of glucosamine is still needed, but many of our customers find it to be very beneficial to their pets.

Cautions:

Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. Consult with your veterinarian before using this product in animals: with clotting disorders; being treated with anticoagulant medications; diabetes, or any metabolic disorder causing hyperglycemia; history of urinary tract stones; known allergies to shellfish. If lameness worsens, discontinue use and contact your veterinarian. Federal law prohibits the off-label use of this product in ruminants.

What is this product used for:

Super Joint Enhancer Liquid is a natural daily formula to ease joint discomfort and support joint function. Super Joint Enhancer Liquid is double strength with MSM.

Availability:

Super Joint Enhancer Liquid is a butterscotch flavored liquid available as a non-prescription (OTC) product.

How this product should be used:

The usual dose for dogs and cats up to 10 lbs is 0.5 teaspoons daily (approx. 1 1/4 pumps), for dogs 10 to 24 lbs give 1 teaspoon daily (approx. 2 1/2 pumps), for dogs 25-100 lbs give 2 teaspoons daily (approx. 5 pumps) and for dogs over 100 lbs give 4 teaspoons daily (approx. 10 pumps). It is recommended that double the amount should be given for the first 6 weeks then reduce gradually over a 3 week period to the recommended dose. Response should be noticeable in 3 to 4 weeks, if not sooner, and varies depending on the animal's condition.

What are the side effects:

Side effects are rare but may include diarrhea.

What special precautions are there:

Rated 5 out of 5 by Regina from Noticeable difference in our cat's agility Our sweet little 11 yo cat, who was always very playful and active, seemed to be slowing down and having more difficulty with her hind legs. We have used the joint medicine for about 2-3 months now and there is a noticeable difference in her agility, activity level and overall playfulness. She is a picky eater but laps this up right out of a spoon. Definitely have seen an improvement so would recommend this product.

The only negative I have found is it get's really thick about half way through the bottle. I squirt it on her food, and make sure it is mixed really well, because she does not like the taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Elfkin from Great!! My dog was in a lot of pain and nothing would work due to his dislike of the way the pills and tablets taste. Since using this products, he is much more active. I had to get the stuff in him before it could work. I needed a liquid that could be given to him with a syringe. He likes the taste so much that he even helps when it's time to give it to him. Since I use a syringe, it would be nice if the bottle only had a cap instead of a pump. The pump makes a mess when it is laid on the countertop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Calley from Gave it a try I tried this product after reading the reviews. I have a 14 yr old boxer/terrier mix who has arthritis along with other knee issues. She takes Metcam and Glucoflex but we thought we would try this as an added supplement. We followed the directions and finished the entire bottle. But, we didn't see any difference in her knees. She seemed to enjoy the taste and it was easy to give to her, but it really didn't work for us at all.

He doesn't act like there is any difference in the taste of his food, but there is definitely a difference in his mobility. He runs and jumps and pounces all over the house. He usually has stiff joints as a result of aging and a couple injuries from when he was younger. Seeing him act young again makes this product totally worth it. Squirting it in his food couldn't be easier, and watching the reaction is more than rewarding. I will keep using this product forever!

He no longer limps after rising! No one is more surprised--I had thought glucosamine/chondroitin products were probably just snake oil. But after watching my beloved hound's mobility decline, I decided to try one. I was saddened to find that many joint supplements contain hydrogenated fats, creatine, and other unhealthful ingredients. It grieved me to sacrifice my guy's arteries and kidneys for the sake of an unproven joint remedy. But then I came across 1800PETMEDS Super Joint Enhancer Liquid. There isn't anything dreadful in this stuff, and it's easy to squirt it on his food in the morning (I also use 3 squirts of Atlantic Salmon Oil). I was blown away by how quickly and dramatically this worked! He's been on it for several weeks now, and the results are not a fluke. My dear friend truly is moving and feeling better. I've now ordered two more bottles and will continue using the liquid joint enhancer indefinitely. The ONLY drawback is that the butterscotch flavor smells gross to me. Why not chicken or beef? I'd gladly pay a bit more for a smell/taste that "goes with" dog food better. But the hound of my heart doesn't hesitate to eat his breakfast, so this is a very small complaint. Fantastic product. I cannot really express how thankful I am to have found it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by PaniGrazia from Be Aware Product gave my little dog severe gastrointestinal distress.....He couldn't walk or jump because his tummy was so swollen. He was lethargic and depressed. It took 2 weeks after starting usage for the problem to develop. After discontinuing use, the symptoms disappeared. We have two small dogs, one was not affected so it depends on the dog. It is the only new thing that was introduced into their diet so it was easy enough to point the finger especially since the symptoms went away after we stopped giving the medicine.

My dog loves the product however has shown bouts of diarreha since taking this product. Will the diarrhea resolve upon continuance of product?

Thank you for your question. This is a side-effect of the product. Please discontinue use and consult with your vet in regards to continuing usage or possibly the use of another product.
