How it Works:
Since 1960, cedarwood oil has been registered as a pesticide by the EPA. This ingredient is commonly found in many flea control products because it is believed to be less toxic than other pesticides, but it is still effective in repelling insects, including fleas. Peppermint oil is also a natural repellent against fleas and mosquitoes. The cinnamon and rosemary oils leave your dog's coat smelling fresh and clean.

Be Flea Free Shampoo is a natural shampoo that kills fleas on contact. It also repels fleas and mosquitoes with natural peppermint, clove, cedar, and rosemary oils. Be Flea Free Shampoo soothes skin with lanolin and is safe enough for sensitive skin and is specially formulated for a pet's skin pH so it will not irritate skin as human shampoos can. Be Flea Free Shampoo does not remove topical flea and tick medications.

How this product should be used:
Using warm water, wet pet's coat thoroughly. Apply shampoo from tail to head and gently massage deep into coat and skin. Allow shampoo to remain on pet for at least several minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean, warm water. Use as often as necessary to control fleas.

I was pleased with the product, but I really wanted to voice my dissatisfaction with Parastar Plus topical it lasted about 5 days and the fleas returned with a vengence. It may be the wrong venue to do so, but I don't have much time for this sort of thing.

Good Shampoo Average Flea Protection
This is a thick, long lasting shampoo. My Yorkies smell great afterwards. I don't expect much from any shampoo as a flea prevention and I use other long lasting methods, such as Comfortis (RX). I really like this as a general shampoo and any flea benefit is a plus for me.

Great shampoo for my itchy girl!!
Our Roxy has very itchy skin (the nature of her breed) even with using special food and brushing daily. When we all of a sudden found fleas on her recently it was BAD NEWS...they came out of nowhere!! We've lived on a barrier island for over 2 years now and have NEVER had a flea problem until now...this shampoo worked GREAT at getting rid of the fleas and keeping them away! Not to mention it has a very pleasant CLEAN smell and Roxy shines like the princess she is after her bath!!

Soft Coat and Less Fleas
This past year was horrible for fleas as it was dry and hot. My son brought home two dogs and two cats to add to our household of 6 cats (two have passed) and the fleas were abundant and eating me. This Be Flea Free Shampoo was used in addition to Advantage II and kept the dogs much freer (is that a word?) of fleas AND their coats are soft and silky. Now that it is winter and they are inside more because of rain (finally in California), this shampoo is essential to keeping the fleas down and their coats shiny and soft.

made my dogs sick
I tried this shampoo because the fleas seem resistant to frontline and our other shampoo. after washing both dogs they became ill and vomited up their dinners.
the shampoo didn't have a very long lasting effect for the fleas either.
I also bought the same brand spray but and used it a little before the baths but I'm also afraid to use it now.

Smells Good.
I shampoo,d Billie(Chow cross) who was crawling with fleas. He seemed more comfortable, However ,next day Crawling again!.
I also washed Ellie, (Chihuahua) Killed quite a few initially, But fleas still around.
Had better results using fine tooth comb.Sits on my lap and I comb her in the evenings.

This product works for us.
We have a Mini Schnauzer and a Yorkipoo. This is the first natural shampoo that has worked for us. It always kills any fleas the dogs pick up and smells great. I have run out and can't wait to get another bottle. Thanks for a great product. I do wish there were a Natural topical or pill that worked for them too.

Thought it worked at first as I saw fleas leaving during shampoo period. Then, I remembered, fleas did this with other shampoos as well. As soon as I walked her, fleas started jumping on her again. In other words, this product does not repel fleas as it advertises. Instead, they recommend you buy costly outdoor repellent for your yard and home. I do not walk the dog in My yard and My home - I walk her around the neighborhood. p.s. - Does not repel mosquitoes either.
