How this product should be used:
The suggested initial dose in dogs 5 to 15 lbs is 1/2 chew per day, for dogs 15 to 30 lbs give 1 chew per day, for dogs 31 to 60 lbs give 2 chews per day, for dogs 61 to 100 lbs give 4 chews per day and for dogs over 100 lbs give 5 chews per day. After 4 to 6 weeks a suggested dose for dogs 5 to 30 lbs is reduce to 1/2 chew every other day, for dogs 31 to 60 lbs give 1 chew per day, for dogs 61 to 100 lbs give 2 chews per day and for dogs over 100 lbs give 2 and 1/4 chews per day.
What are the side effects:
Administer during or after the animal has eaten to reduce the incidence of gastrointestinal upset.
What special precautions are there:
This product is for animal use only. Consult with your veterinarian before using this product in animals with clotting disorders; being treated with anticoagulant medications; diabetes; or any metabolic disorder causing hyperglycemia; history of urinary tract stones; known allergies to shellfish. Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. If lameness worsens, discontinue use and contact the veterinarian.
In the event of overdose:
Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency room.
How should I store this product:
Store the container at room temperature. Keep out of the reach of children and other animals. Reseal package after each use to maintain freshness.

Tip:

Taste is great....
His arthritis is in his back, I frequently took him to the vet for shots and pain meds....Since I started giving him Joint Cheays, his arthritis is under control...No more pain meds...Thank you Pet's Meds....

My Labs LOVE THEM!
In the past I have been using joint chew that is very similar to the ones we have been purchasing at the Vet. When I compared the ingredients list to the ones I had from the Vet, they were the same thing and in measurement! One of my Lab(8.5 yr old), has hip dysplasia, she has a lot of muscle loss in her "bad leg". This has helped her stop limping and walk almost normal, as the best as she can be, and be a normal senior dog. She still runs, but I believe with the Joint Chews it helps with her recovery when she does exert herself. The taste is good, they think it is a treat. When I brought this up to the vet they called this the "generic" brand, but in all honestly you are paying or the name not the product. I am impressed with the joint chews and how much it has helped my dog and helped her be herself.I Not to mention we do have another dog and we give to him as preventative care. and we tend to go through a lot!! I can't even explain how much I love this product and glad I found it. 1800PETMEDS give out really good coupons and the pricing on the joint chews are affordable. Thank you PETMEDS! Thanks for providing quality items and a reasonable price!

Boys love these
Trooper, my large shepard mix had knee surgery 4 years ago and has been on these ever since. After his surgery he has lost 30 Lbs and now is so much more active. The Dr recommended he be on a supplement and has been since surgery. He runs and enjoys being outside to play now. Our little Cavalier gets a supplement daily too, he thinks they are treats and if Trooper is gettin one, he must have one too. The Cavalier can be finiky, but has never turned down his Joint Chews. They both love these and expect to get one as I leave for work each day.

My dog loves these!!!!
My German Shepard was beginning to have some joint issues so I tried Joint Chewys. She loves them! She sits by the Joint Chewy Jar when it is time for her to take them at night (can dogs tell time???) and won't leave that spot until she is given her two Chewys. I have noticed an improvement in joint stiffness and will continue to purchase them. There has been no problem with stomach upset that has been experienced by some dogs as mentioned in previous reviews.

keeps him moving
My Golden is 15yrs and before he started taking JOINT CHEWYS there were days he wouldn't or couldn't get out of bed. He still not acting as a puppy but he does get up. Enjoys walking around looking for treats that his two younger brothers have hid. Barney does better than most his age and some younger. We want him to have the best quality of life that we can give him. JOINT CHEWYS give him a desire to keep moving and he loves the taste.

Gave my girl her mobility back.
My girl is 13 years old and had trouble standing up and getting around. I tried two other products one from our vet and did not get much results. I put her on Joint Chewys and within a month the results were amazing. She was standing up much easier and had more mobility. After several months of being on Joint Chewys she now has at times almost become a puppy again the way she jumps around at times. She runs with the other three dogs although she can't keep up with them and is much more active. She is standing longer than she has in a long time. She enjoys eating the Joint Chewys. Joint Chewys have given her a new life..

Six years ago our Vet disagnosed our then 6-year old Golden with hip displacia and recommended glucosamine with MSM and to lose some weight. He has been on these chewys since then. The dose has increased from 2/day to 4/day (probably because he has begun to gain some of the weight back and aging) and they are what keep him going. Acquired a high energy pup three years ago, and he begs her to play. He acutally picks them out of his food before eating his kibble. I highly recommend this product

Joint Chewys (120ct) item# 10911 for what size of dog is it? and is it a soft chews too?
For all sized dogs, different sizes just get different amounts. I have a 50lb who gets 2 treats a day. They are a brown soft chew.

Do these chews contain Omega-3?
The Joint Chewy's does not contain Omega-3. We do have The Missing Link Canine Plus Joint Support Formula available.
