Works if you are diligent
I spray the problem areas daily until the cats are use to not spraying the area. If you miss a few days they will go back and mess again. I have used it for years.

NO-GO is a NO-Bother
I have 2 Mini Daschunds. One goes on his wee pads with no trouble but the other won't. This spray didn't effectively stop him from going on the carpets or lifting his leg on the walls or baby gates. It was difficult and used a lot of product to spray my entire carpet (because it isn't just one spot he is using to wee). It's got a potpouri type scent which isn't unpleasant but didn't deter my doxie in the least.

At the time I purchased this, I had two dogs. They both had certain spots that they would always mark. I sprayed both spots and the dog that went in one spot stopped going there... but started going in the other spot, and the other dog did the same.... So yes.. they stopped going in one place, but started going in a different spot.. I can't spray the whole house...

I thought this was effective for a couple of days at a time for stopping my neutered male cat from spraying in his favorite spots but his fav spots entail a large perimeter of the house, so I went through the bottle very quickly. He would spray again on day 2-3 after spraying. (Instructions state to reapply at least once a week) .
I think it is designed to be used as PART OF a holistic training program. My cat responded well to this very beginning part of his "behavior modification" program while getting him on track. After that, he must have held his breath!!
Overall, I thought it is a good detouring product but to rely on it alone would be costly and futile.

I have used half a dozen other products without any success for Spike's occasional "accidents". This is the best of them all and the best thing is that it does not have a horrible smell like the others.

I think this product is best used on new carpets and rugs to discourage dogs from going on them. I have had 100% success with this product when I spray the new rugs. I have had little success with using it on already soiled rugs. It is the only product I have used that has been effective. I try to keep at least two bottles on hand.

Safe for children?
Is this product safe to use on carpet that an infant will crawl on?
We would not suggest using this on a carpet that an infant will crawl on since they tend to put there hands in their mouth using this should be avoided.

how to stop dogs from urinating on everything outside
can you use this product for outside on things that you don't want the dogs to urinate on? for example on waterhose cart and poles

The Portland Zoo used to sell a can of something called "Zoo Poo" in their gift shop when we used to take my now 30-yr-old there as a baby. I have wished many times that I had bought some, because, it makes sense to me now that some mammals might respond to this foreign smell of "higher order" Seems like sprinkling a little where I would not want defication and urination from domestic mammals to occur might work.

Can this product be used downstairs on my basement floors?
We have our kitty litter box downstairs in our unfinished basement. One of our cats is using the bathroom on the floor instead of the kitty box. Will this product work if I spray my floors with it?
Works great on walls so should work well on the floor where it will not drip as it does on walls.
Urinating next to the box might be something more than behavior. Might want to check with your vet.

can you use this product on furniture too?
It is fine to use on furniture, too. You may want to test a hidden area first to make sure it doesn't stain, but it shouldn't be an issue. Just don't use directly on pet.

If your pet is having accidents all over the house, try using Comfort Zone to prevent future accidents.

how do i get my cat to stop having a b.m. on the carpet? she just started this a few months ago.

Will this work on hard wood floors?
I have a yorkie and she uses her pad while we are gone, and we take her out when we are home, however even if she goes outside, she will come back in and go more some where else.
This product is for carpet only. I would recommend Comfort Zone for your pet.

How can I get my cats to stop goingto the bathroom on my carpets?
I have 2 male cats.........1 is 13 weeks old....the other is 1yrold.
If your cats aren't already neutered, I would start with that. Also, I find that using a spray bottle (containing water) for disapline can work but you need to catch them in the act. Have the sprayer on stream and squirt them. Be consistant. If there is a particular spot they are going, you can put a litter box in there. Over time, you may be able to move that particular litter box. I have tried these things and have gotten results. Good luck.
