Spot Urinary Tract Symptoms
|
|
Urinary tract related conditions are among the most common reasons for veterinary visits. Symptoms of urinary tract infections include difficulty urinating, blood in pet's urine, a foul or strong urine odor, fever, and lethargy. Since urinary tract infections are very common, the symptoms can be relieved with the use of antibiotics and cranberry supplements, which can help to prevent them from reoccurring. |

Give Cranberry Relief or UT Soft Chews.
For an easy way to help relieve urinary tract infection symptoms, mix Cranberry Relief into your pet's food. The ingredients in Cranberry Relief contain natural anti-inflammatories and immune system boosters, which helps minimize bacteria from collecting in the lining of the bladder. If your cat is finicky, try our UT Soft Chews for Cats. Most cats love the delicious chicken-liver flavor. These products can help temporarily relieve symptoms, however, if your pet's symptoms persist, you should visit your veterinarian.

"My 14 year old male cat has suffered with urinary tract & bladder problems for the past 7 years. After using Cranberry Relief I saw almost immediate improvement in his symptoms, including fever from infection, after the 2nd dose. Somewhat a picky eater, he doesn't mind the powder mixed into his can food. I mix one scoop to 1 of the 3oz cans of food. The dosage scoop is so tiny, so it takes very little, the jar will last a long time, and the results are huge! I only wish we had heard of this product sooner! I was skeptical, but now I'm a believer." - Jennifer

Change your pet's diet.
Food plays a significant role in your pet's overall health, including the urinary tract. Both dogs and cats should be fed a high protein diet that is low in carbohydrates and contains minimal amounts of grains. Although dogs can eat wet or dry food, cats should only eat wet food. If a dog is fed a vegetarian or kibble-based diet, this can increase the alkaline content of the urine, potentially leading to crystal formations (kidney or bladder stones). If you're unsure which dog food brands to consider, visit our Pet Food Center, where you'll find top rated pet foods from our experts.

Max's Tip: Urine acidifiers like Methigel Urinary Acidifier can also be used to reduce the likelihood of bladder stones from forming. |
