Frontline Flea Control

Frontline top spot

Why Use Frontline for Flea Control?

Whether you’re a new or seasoned pet parent, chances are you’ve heard about Frontline flea control products, Frontline Top Spot and Frontline Plus. The reason Frontline is popular is because it has proven to be effective in killing fleas and ticks on pets and preventing fleas from returning.

Frontline Differences: Frontline Top Spot vs. Frontline Plus

Unsure of the differences between Frontline products? Both Frontline Top Spot and Frontline Plus kill fleas and ticks. However, Frontline Plus also prevents the development of flea eggs and larvae, which is a key component in ending the flea life cycle. By preventing flea eggs and larvae from maturing, Frontline Plus is one of the most popular flea control products available for dogs and cats. In addition to topical flea preventatives, Frontline Spray is also a customer favorite because it can be sprayed directly on your pet’s coat.

Is Frontline Safe for All of My Pets?

Yes, Frontline has products that are safe for both dogs and cats. If you have multiple pets, be sure to purchase the correct Frontline product specific to your pet’s type and weight. Using the incorrect dosage or type of Frontline product is a popular reason Frontline may lose its effectiveness against fleas. It’s also for this reason we highly recommend Frontline and other topical flea preventatives are not split up between multiple pets.

Frontline: Are There Possible Side Effects?

Although the Frontline brand flea products are popularly used, it’s no surprise pet parents may have concerns about possible side effects. The most common side effect seen from Frontline is slight temporary irritation where the solution was applied on your pet’s body. Generally this is only a temporary side effect of Frontline, however, if the irritation continues, please contact your veterinarian immediately.
