What is the Whisker World Stairway to Heaven Cat Tree?
The Whisker World Stairway to Heaven Cat Tree is a floor-to-ceiling tree for cats to pounce and climb on. It has 3 platforms, all the same size for cats to climb up and down, and a cat house at the bottom for cats to rest and hide in. The top of the tree pressure mounts to the ceiling to help with stability, although it may still be a little bit wobbly - which some cats make not like. The posts are long and wrapped with sisal material for cats to rub and scratch, while the platforms and house are covered in soft, velour-like material. The Whisker World Stairway to Heaven Cat Tree is very steep and some cats may find it hard to climb, especially those without claws.

How it works:
Once the tree is assembled your cat(s) can spend hours climbing and pouncing on the 3 platforms, or just resting in the cat house. For added fun, adjust the platforms so they are not all facing the same direction and watch your cat try to figure out how to jump from one platform to the next. The top of the tree pressure mounts to your ceiling so the tree doesn't tip over while your cat is jumping from platform to platform. You can adjust the tree to fit in your home by leaving out 1-2 posts so it mounts nicely to your ceiling. Even though this tree is great for smaller cats, the cat house is approximately 19" off the ground and may be hard for them to climb into.
Also, cats without claws may find it hard to climb due to its steepness.
Cautions:
Don't leave your cat unattended on cat trees for long periods of time. When in use by multiple cats, make sure the tree is not wobbling or shaking too much. Make sure it is stabilized to the ceiling before letting your cat climb and pounce on the platforms. Do not mount to tiled or suspended ceilings. Take precaution when mounting to decorative ceilings.
Available Whisker World Stairway to Heaven Cat Tree colors:
There are no tools required with the Whisker World Stairway to Heaven Cat Tree, however it does require assembly. Also, it
is very tall and may be a little cumbersome to maneuver. It is best if the bottom is assembled first and then lay it on its side in order to be able to attach the taller posts.
Parts:
1 Bottom base
3 Platforms
1 Large sisal post (18.9")
4 Medium sisal posts (16.1")
2 Short dual ended bolts
4 Long dual ended bolts
1 Cat house
1 Adjustable top unit
Tree Assembly Instructions:
Unload all the pieces from the Whisker World Stairway to Heaven Cat Tree box and place on the floor. Measure your home from floor to ceiling to see if you will need to exclude 1-2 posts from assembly.
Start with the bottom base by screwing a short dual ended bolt into the small hole located at the top of the base. Once you have the bolt in place, twist the large sisal post down onto the bolt until secure.
Next, screw in the long dual ended bolt into the top of the sisal post and place the cat house on top.
Once the cat house is stable, screw the remaining short dual ended bolt onto the top of the cat house and twist one of the medium sisal posts to the top.
Screw a long dual ended bolt to the top of the sisal post and place a platform on top. Repeat this process two more times until all the platforms are used and the top is a sisal post. (NOTE: lay the tree on its side when it starts getting too tall to reach.)
Lift up the tree and make sure it will fit before you add the adjustable top unit. Once the tree is standing up, attach the adjustable top unit and by screwing it into the top sisal post until becomes flush with the ceiling and is stable and tighten the inside nut down to keep it from moving.
Tip: The tree can be very awkward and you will need a very large space to assemble. Also, it may be easier to assemble on its side and then stand up at the very end. Some individuals find sisal material hard on the hands, so wear gloves while assembling to prevent possible scratching.
Things to consider before purchasing a cat tree.
If you have multiple cats, you may want to buy a tree large enough to hold them all at the same time.
If your cat is not declawed, you may want a tree with scratching posts (although declawed cats may enjoy scratching as well).
Will your cat be able to safely reach the upper levels of the tree?

I purchased Stairway to Heaven for my cat who loves to climb. He was a little unsure of this very tall structure at first. Now that he has figured out there are multiple platforms to play on he is constantly climbing up and down, and stopping to strach the posts once in a while. If he is not sitting on the top shelve, like a king in his castle, he is in the "den" peeking out at the world.
He really seems to enjoy himselve with his new tree!
