What is the Thermo Heated Dog Bed?

The Thermo Heated Dog Bed is a plush pet bed you plug into an electrical outlet that provides a warm and cozy resting place. Poly-fiber fill provides a comfortable surface and dual thermostat technology automatically activates once your pet lies down on the bed. Although this bed is perfect during cold winter months, the heater inside is removable, making it an ideal bed for year-round use.

How it works:
The Thermo Heated Dog Bed provides your pet with a soft and comfortable resting area with the added benefit of an interior heating pad. The dual thermostat functionality works when your pet lays down on the bed and warms up to your pet's normal body temperature. The low wattage helps to conserve energy and also prevents the bed from becoming hot.

Cautions:
Not recommended for pets that like to chew aggressively. To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquid. Always unplug from outlet when not in use. When using this product, make sure your pet has the option of sleeping on or off the bed.

Directions:

• Carefully position heating pad between outer and inner lining and close the opening so your pet cannot remove the heating pad. When in use, check the pad to ensure proper positioning.

• Turn the bed so the cord is exiting the back of the bed, away from the normal path traveled by your pet.

• Testing your Thermo Heated Bed: After operating 1-2 hours, place your hands on your pets new Thermo Heated bed for 20-30 seconds, applying pressure. Sitting on the bed is the best way to feel the radiant warmth your pet will enjoy. For the safety and enjoyment of your pet, this bed is designed to provide mild radiant warmth and does not become hot.

Tip: When cleaning the bedding, unplug and remove the heater so you do not subject it to being immersed in liquids or cleaners.

Important Criteria to Consider When Selecting a Bed for Your Pet
•	How big is your pet?
•	Will you be using the bed for one pet or more?
•	Does your pet curl or flop down when resting? This will help determine the best suitable length for your pet.

I have been traded in for a bed My dog will not lay with me anymore! She eats, sleeps, and plays on this bed! She has not left the bed since it was set up. If nature did not have it's calls... My dog would have a new owner!!! BEST BED EVER!!!!!!! 05/10/2012

Disappointing I purchased this product for my 11 year old who was starting to display some signs of joint problems. There is not enough padding in the bed and it moves around so that ultimately, Angus was lying on the heating pad with only the thin fabric between him and this very warm pad. I'd pick it up and "fluff" the bed, but you know how dogs are -- he'd turn around 5-6 times and might paw at it to get his "bed made", and we'd be right back where we started. I'd wake up to find him on the floor rather than the bed. That's saying something. I don't recommend this. Good concept, but not well developed. 02/24/2012

Not enough stuffing There simply is not enough stuffing in the bed to prevent the dog from sleeping on no more than a cover on the ground much of the time. 11/20/2011

i have 3 cats that live in my garage. i built a table with insulated sides to keep them warm though i though that this may help. does the whole blank

warm up or just a small section? also, does it require a ceratin amount of weight to work and will it work for cats?

The whole bed would heat up on the top side. There is no certain amount of weight needed for it to work. You just have to choose the right size to fit them all.

JD, we have a Heated Cat Pad for cats. The Heated Cat Pad can be used alone or placed on top of your cat's bed. Both of my cats love their Heated Cat Pad!

Cordless. where is the heat source? 100 pound lab in a insulated garage, will she be comfortable in sub zero temps?

Gitte, thanks for your questions. The Thermo Heated Dog Bed is not cordless, it is electric. It is designed to heat to about 12-15 degrees above the temperature of the room, so in a sub-freezing garage, it will help, but will not keep your dog at an ideal temperature.
