What is Taste of the Wild High Prairie Canine Formula Dry Dog Food?
Taste of the Wild High Prairie Canine Formula with Roasted Bison and Roasted Venison is a hearty and nutritious meal for dogs of any age, size, or breed. Real lean cuts of bison (certified hormone free and antibiotic free) provide highly digestible sources of protein, while sweet potato and peas are used to provide your dog with high levels of energy. Whole fruits and vegetables provide vitamins and antioxidants to boost your dog's immune system. This dog food also contains proteinates (protein compounds), which help your dog's body absorb the nutrients to get the most out of the food. Taste of the Wild is grain free, which makes it a great food for dogs with intolerances or allergies to grains.

How it works:
Each batch of Taste of the Wild is cooked with water that is purified through reverse osmosis, the same process used by popular bottled water manufacturers. This helps to remove any microorganisms, organic and inorganic chemicals, and ensures the meats and meat meals are steamed (cooked) with purified water. Taste of the Wild provides your dog with a hearty meal that is not only delicious but also provides essential vitamins and antioxidants to stay healthy and active.
Transitioning Your Dog to Taste of the Wild High Prairie Canine Formula:
Days 1 & 2: Feed 75% previous dog food and 25% Taste of the Wild.
Days 3 & 4: Feed 50% previous dog food and 50% Taste of the Wild.
Days 5 & 6: Feed 25% previous dog food and 75% Taste of the Wild.
Day 7: Feed 100% Taste of the Wild.
Tip: Digestive upset caused by a diet change can sometimes be prevented by mixing some non-fat plain yogurt in with your dog's food each day during the transition. The live cultures within the yogurt will help balance the flora within the digestive system and minimize flatulence or loose stools that are sometimes associated with a diet change.

LOVE this food
My dogs have consistently loved this food. No allergies, and they never get sick of it.
My finicky dog loves it
I have three dogs and they just love it.
I have a young Chocolate Lab. Anyone with a lab knows how much they shed. On TOTW her shedding is minimal and her coat shines like patent leather. She loves the food. Don't understand the comment about the smell being bad, I don't find that to be true. On my vets advice, I switched her over briefly to 'his brand' when she was 3 mo old and the shedding began to increase and her coat lost some of its luster. I went back to this. My previous labs (before TOTW) had hot spots but this dog has not had one.
Our dog suffered from skin allergies every spring. We tried everything the vet suggested but a friend recommended Taste of the Wild. It worked! Our dog has gone 2 years now without the spring itches and hot spots. The ONLY thing that changed was her food!
Natural ingredients and my dog only eats this.
I started buying this in California (now im in VA) years ago and I like it not only because it's cheaper since they don't spend money on advertising but it's made with quality natural ingredients and with fresh water in the Cali Sierra mountains.. Turns out it's the only food that my friends dogs can eat too, as it doesn't give skin itching issues other brands can. I my does not like the salmon flavor though so I stick to this bison flavor.
