Awesome Product! Why spend the money on a expensive products PLUS a vet bill? This product works without a prescription! We tried it on a stray and one pill took care of the problem! Fast and simple, and it works! 06/22/2011
Worked again! This is the second time I've had to turn to this product for a tapeworm problem (we're going to buy a better flea medication to help prevent this problem) and it works wonderfully and quickly! 04/26/2011
Feline Tape Worms Tapeworm tabs for cats product review: One of the most frustrating problems seen by feline guardians is the often re-infestation of cats with tapeworms, which appear to animal guardians as tiny movable rice like segments often seen around the base of the tail of cats, near the rear door or in the stool itself. Since cats are such fastidious groomers, tapeworms are more of a problem in them over dogs in my opinion, as because they are so meticulous groomers, cats will often ingest fleas, which is how most pets get infected. While in most cases tapeworms do not make cats clinically ill, because of the risk to humans, it is important to rid your cat of these worms. For years we only had effective prescription medications for this such as Droncit. Now with this great generic product and same active ingredient, feline guardians now have a safe, effective and economic over the counter alternative to expensive tapeworm injections given at the vet or expensive prescription pills. I therefore give this product an overall efficacy rating of a 5 with a taste of 5 as well. 04/20/2009
THIS REALLY WORKS..BUY NOW!! I hate taking my cat to the vet for ONE butt worm pill! One she is old and hates to travel and second it's ridiculous to pay a vet fee then an expensive pill for something I KNOW all about because I have had my cat over 15 yrs and this is nothing new. I did some research online and ran across this pill. I called a friend of mine who is a vet in D.C. and told her the ingredients. She said it would do the job depending on how bad the problem is I might have to give her two. So on that I ordered the bottle. I gave my cat ONE pill and NO MORE BOOTY WORMS!!! No vet fees, no ridiculous price for a ONE pill!!! I highly recommend this WELL worth the money!! 07/20/2008
I used to sell pharmaceuticals for both Pfizer and Smithkline Beecham so I know tapeworm medicine. I am also a licensed veterinary technician from Michigan State Univ. This is the same ingredient as Droncit so I also buy it over the counter for my cats now. I was injured in a car accident and only has disability now. I can no longer afford the office visit and money for a small tapeworm pill. You can buy a device to help give the pill. It is long and drops the pill in the cats throat. My own cats give me trouble but good luck! 11/20/2013

My cats are Peaches and Oscar. This question concerns another cat I have though and she lives outside and does not look well. She is wild so almost impossible to catch and take to the vet. She has never been to the vet and is approximately 14 years old.
Answer: Tapeworms are a highly specialized intestinal parasite. They need two hosts to complete their life cycle, an intermediate host (the flea) which passes (the larval stage of the tapeworm) around and the final host (your pet), where it develops into an adult tapeworm and lays its eggs. Most cat owners discover their cat has tapeworm when they notice rice like segments around your cat's butt, in his feces and in the environment (such as bedding). To avoid having them pass it to other animals in the household make sure they do not clean each other off or share the same water (eggs can get on the cats face and when they drink water they may pass it on to another cat/dog in the house) You always want to see a vet for the best medical opinion when it comes to tapeworms.
Answer: They get tapeworms from fleas! So unless you get rid of the fleas they will just keep being reinfected over and over, you definitely need to get rid of the fleas ASAP then treat them right away for tapeworms. Both can cause a lot of aggravation and make your cat sick, smaller kitties can even die from fleas alone bc they cause anemia and ofcouse having a tapeworm eat up all the cats nutrients is obviously a very bad thing to let go on for any period of time! If you can't afford the vet just wash the cats in dawn dish detergent clean your house of them and then put advantage or frontline on them, yu can buy that at petsmart as well as the tapeworm tabs and they are very effective, my GF is a vet and said it is just as good to ignore anyone who says otherwise.
Answer: My vet gave me a plastic stick looking device for giving tablets to my cat when she had to take meds for a thyroid disorder. Her staff simply called a pill pusher. Sadly, Mischief crossed the rainbow bridge, but I kept the device because I know that I will always have at least one cat in my household. Most vets understand that pet owners need to keep costs to minimum and will give you one or at least not charge too much.
Answer: Just stuck the pill by itself on back of her tongue then clamp her mouth down with your hand for a few seconds, she'll swallow it right away and it's way easier, don't risk losing the pill by crushing it or melting?? No not good idea lol, I promise it'll be easier on her anyway bc crushing is nasty and they taste it way more! Much better to just get it over with quickly! I do to my cats and have no problems
