I gave "Chookie", my Yorkie , some super stress the other evening during a thunderstorm. It did not 'knock' him out, he just laid down instead of running around and excessive panting. He was just relaxed. Thank You! What a relief for Chookie and me.
We couldn't take our retriever/collie mix on any car rides without her screeching loudly with anxiety. Tried drugs from the vet but they made her more anxious. These drops worked wonders! We have to re-dose every 25-30 min but she is so mellow in the car now it's great being able to bring her wherever we go!
Kay, my Rat Terrier is terrified of the thunder, she can sense it coming to our area before we in the house hear the slightist rumble. She hides in a corner of my kitchen near the refrigerator & cabinets panting heavily, she seems to become a little calmer when I sit on the floor in her corner & hold her close to me. I tried the Quiet Moments, 1/2 tablet everyday with her food, I am changing my order to Super Stress Relief in my present order. Am I correct in changing the medication to Super Stress Relief to see if it will work better for her stress?
If you feel the need to switch to a different product from Quiet Moments, then Super Stress Relief is a good choice. It may take a while (2 weeks or more) for your pet to get the full effect of the product.
We do carry a product called Calming Collar for Dogs, and also Calming Collar for Cats. The Good Behavior Calming Collar mimics the pheromone that the mother dog produces to calm and reassure her puppies and the lavender and chamomile provide a soothing fragrance. The collar works to mimic the natural way to help dogs cope with fearful situations. Here is a link to that product:
Pandora whines, cries and barks the whole time company is here, while riding in a car, loud noises, when the phone rings, she screams, for lack of a better word, when my room mate comes home or comes to my bedroom door to talk to me
