What is this product used for:
A toothpaste specifically formulated for dogs. Does not foam, does not need to be rinsed. Helps clean teeth and fight bad breath. Specially flavored to assure acceptance. It is fluoride free.

St. JON Petrodex Dental Care Kit for Dogs is a non-prescription (OTC) product.

How this product should be used:
Apply a small amount onto the Petrodex Toothbrush, or finger toothbrush. Gently pull the lips and cheeks up. Begin brushing with short, back and forth strokes at the gumline. Brush only a few teeth at a time. Increase the number of teeth brushed each time until this routine is accepted willingly. Consult your veterinarian for a complete preventive dental care program.

What are the side effects:
If bleeding of the gums occurs, consult a veterinarian.

What special precautions are there:
Avoid using human toothpastes. They often contain detergents which can cause foaming and, when swallowed, can lead to stomach irritation. Avoid contact with the eyes.

How should I store this product:
Store at room temperature. Keep out of the reach of children.
