How It Works:

Now Fresh Grain Free recipes were developed with veterinarians and certified nutritionists to ensure your dog receives the necessary nutrition needed to maintain an active lifestyle. Now Fresh Grain Free is slow cooked only once to preserve nutrients, which are typically lost in many commercially processed foods. Although other grain free dog foods may contain higher levels of protein, this excess is ultimately eliminated through your dog's urine, offering little to no benefit to your dog's health.

Coconut oil is used in each Now Fresh Grain Free variety and assimilates directly through the stomach lining, which ultimately breaks down into simple sugars to be used as energy. Coconut oil is also believed to have antiviral benefits by reducing the risk of gastrointestinal issues (inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis, and food allergies).

None.

Now Fresh Grain Free Senior Recipe Dry Dog Food is rated 4.9167 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Dog Food for ageing dog!! We have an aging toy poodle (14 years) who has developed irritable bowl. She would have a flare up several times a week and would not eat on those days. She lost weight (only 8 lbs as it is) and we could feel all her bones through her skin. Her coat was dull and on the days of her flare ups she had no energy. We ordered this product along with probiotics and almost immediately we saw an improvement. Flare up now only 1 or 2x's a month, she has gained back her weight, her coat is healthy and she has her spunk back. We are thankful for this product and recommend wholeheartedly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT I used to feed the puppy version of this to my pug and he is healthy robust and his coat and teeth are beautiful. I had to stop due to costy and have recently been able to feed this to him as well as my family members dog Max. Mochi, my Pug, loves it and eats it with enthusiasm. Max, who is a VERY fickle eater and a very light eater loves it as well. He never turns down a bowl and eats it all. I would definitely recommend this to picky or fickle eaters as it is pleasing across the spectrum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food, great value! My sweet little Shi-tzu is going on 13 years old and had started to gain weight. I can't say she has lost any weight being on this food but she has maintained and not gained. She loves the taste and I like the ingredients, free of all the by products and corn found in over the counter dog food. The size of the pellets are perfect for small mouths too. I'm glad I ordered this food and have been for 2 years now. I recommend it highly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog loves it! My dog, Rocky loves it. He is over 6 years old. I have switched to this food, because he was getting a little pudgy. The Pet Food store recommended it, and he runs to the bowl now when I put the food in. Rocky is a puggle and they tend to be overweight. However, I am happy to say I have a fit, lean puggle machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is amazing! I have a 7 year old boston terrier who suffers from epilepsy and has horrible gas. In all honesty, it hasn't done much to help in the way of his epilepsy. However, it has done wonders for his gas. His gas has improved/lessened by 85%. Also, his coat is in great shape. This food is amazing. A little pricey, but worth it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Kibble too small for bigger dogs I went online to research dog foods and this was rated as one of the best. Problem was the kibble was too small for my english bulldogs. The dogs liked the food, but kept choking on the small kibble. I will definitely buy this if they make a bigger kibble.

My dog throws up after eating this? Why is that?

After eating this food he throws up. When he eats something else he doesn't. Why is that?

stomach upset. It's all depends of how fast or slow you introduce this new food (slow transition on each bag, remember?)

which is best food for senior dog w/ tendencies for hemmorhagic gastroenteritis and pancreatitis

I have an 11 yr old jack russell that gets hemmorhagic gastroenteritis and the last time he had it the vet said he also had pancreatitis. He has also been found to have a small liver. He is sensitive to chicken. I had been feeding him Taste of the Wild salmon dry dog food but I see that it is high in fat(15%) which is not good for him. Was wondering what would be a top quality food for him (I did look at Petcurean senior duck/turkey)
Asked by: barb
Try the Basic Limited Ingredient from Blue Buffalo. (grain-free) it doesn't have any chicken at all and nor gluten or dairy eggs. That could help. Look up for Senior Small breed. Crude fat 10%, protein 20%, Omega 3= 0.2% and Omega 6 fatty acids 2.0%. Plus it has glucosamine 400mg and chondoitine 300mg to promote healthy joints bags up to 24lbs. Hope this helps

my rottie is 12 just got mobility problems for she needs weight management food been feeding the edge done good on it and promotion tabs Is it too late for new food with age she cant walk with me anymore so she is now prone to put pounds on.Has good heart kidney control
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, you need less protein and fat and more Omega 3 fatty acids for Rottie. Senior food has low protein and fat. Additionally, you can give him treat what includes salmon or Blue Joint stick for hips/joints. About food, try Blue Life Protection Formula Senior (small breed or large) because it has glucosamine 400mg and chonditin to promote joints health. Manage her food intake. (on bag shows feed guideliness according to weight). Don't forget to do slow transition and less stressed for her

Is this food hyoo allergenic?

I suspect my dog has allergies to the grain in his food due to his tail biting. He is Flea free, and does not have boredom issues could this Grain free non prescription food be a remedy .. Also is there a larger bag size, he is a huge 120 pound lab ( not too fat, just big) 6 pounds will last only about a week thanks Chuck
Asked by: BOOGIE
Specifically allergies, I will recommend Blue Basic Limited Ingredients (turket potatoes) * Adult * (grain-free) for him. This bag besides grain free , doesn't have chicken, glutens or dairy eggs. It's exactly what it says. Limited ingredients. Plus easy digestible. Just do slow transition (read on the bag) UP to 22lbs Another option: Freedom (grain free too and not gluten but must like chicken, lamb or beef) *Large bred* UP to 24LBS ***

Is the picture the actual size of the kibble?

Asked by: cat
Nope. You will have to feel it by touching the bag or trying to catch a grain (touch sense) . However small bites are great for small breed or medium sizes dogs.
