Keeps Cat out of Vet's Office
I was having to take my cat to the vet every 3 weeks for blood in her urine until I started using Naturvet Enzymes and Probiotics. I put a pinch in her bowl and no more bloody stools or Vet bills. Worth its weight in gold!

Very Helpful product
Cali seems to be doing much better since she has been taking this product. We believe she has IBS with very loose bowls and it has seemed to getting much better she dosen't seem to loose control like she was and her stools have been darker and thicker so I think that is helping with her control.

Will buy again
I have been dealing with diarrhea with my shih tzu since late December. In January we found out he had round worms so I figured that was the cause....nope, he finished his meds and still the same thing. At first it was on and off and then as time went on he'd have episodes where it was urgent and watery and I'd be up and down with him throughout the night. Although he tested negative for giardia the vet treated him for it and still the same thing. I had him back and forth to the vet and the diarrhea was the only symptom he was having. Putting him on a bland diet didn't change anything. I didn't have the money for the x-ray the vet wanted to do on his stomach and since he's been battling another illness that caused him to be on steroids for a while and on and off antibiotics, I decided to try a probiotic (I read that steroids and antibiotics can kill the good bacteria in a dog). The probiotic didn't seem to be doing the trick so I said what the heck I'll try this since it's a probiotic and prebiotic. He's been on it for about a week and a half and although he's not 100%, he hasn't had anymore urgent watery diarrhea and things seem to be firming up. Seeing as how I've been dealing with this for a while now, I didn't expect a miracle after one dose.....I figure it could take 3-4 weeks. I would have given 5 stars for the effectiveness but like I said, we're only at a week and a half. Praying things keep heading in a positive direction.

Not Happy with Product
I gave this to my Schnauzer/Pug Mix dog and he began vomiting within 20 minutes. I realized it was this probiotic after 3 days. After taking him off of it, it is fine. I went back to the Forta Flora that he had taken for years.

Try it, you might like it!
I bought this because I have a stinky, farting (we tried changing diet with no success) Bassett Hound with a coat that would make our hands grimy with just a few strokes. One of our walls would always get really dirty, where he would walk a little to close to it and I was constantly having to clean it with my "Magic Sponge". The great news is that this product has totally helped his overall farting and his coat is now cleaner and petable than it ever was. He's still kinda stinky, but I think it's also improved. Also, I don't know if this is a coincidence or not, but he had a large mole (2")on his chest that would get infected, gross, and drain a couple of times a year. We would put him on a course of antibiotics and it would clear up and we would wait for the next time (He looked funny wearing a sports bra w/ a feminine pad to catch the drainage! We opted not to have it surgically removed because of his old age and the expense). Well, this mole has really shrunk to almost nothing since he's been on this product. I think he needed good bacteria in his tummy. We also have a little chihuahua/yorkie/toy poodle whom shares the same food dish so she gets the enzymes whether she needs them or not. We figured it couldn't hurt. We see no changes with her. We will continue to use this product.

69 Questions · 84 Answers Ask & Answer.Talk to other pet lovers about this product. Q: My cat, Sophie, takes 1 methimozole 5mg a day for her thyroid problems but she is constipated. This constant strain induces vomiting 2 to 3 times a week. Will probiotics help?AnswersQ: My sweet four year old English Bulldog has had a recurrent staph infection since July of 2011. She has been on antibiotics, steroids, sprays, weekly baths, etc. She is on a hypoallergenic diet and has had her thyroid tested as well. Her thyroid is normal and the bacteria tested positive for antibiotic resistant staph. The bacteria continues to come back - about once a month since July. With this latest outbreak, I kept her off all medication, kept her wounds clean and used baby powder to keep her wounds dry. They are clearing up after a week and I want to try a probiotic now to help (possibly) prevent the staph from re-occurring. What would you recommend? This product? I am thinking that the healthy bacteria might help ward off future overgrowth of staph.AnswersA: I would definitely try it. (Hopefully you can read my review of this product.) It stopped his horrible farting and improved his coat and I believe it has shrunk a large mole on his chest that would grow and ooze until he went through a course of antibiotics. I really think that it could help your situation since it helped ours. We weren't even using it for that purpose, but it seems to be a happy side effect.AnswersA: This supplement is best used when needed. Give it on a daily basis for as long as your pet is having digestive issues such as vomiting or diarrhea. As long as the pet is healthy and acting normally you do not need to use this product.AnswersA: Have you tried Plain Greek Yogurt? One heaping teaspoon with food (or without) twice a day was suggested by my vet. You want to use the Plain Greek because you want as little sugar in it as possible. My dogs love it :O)Note: Any trademarks are the property of their respective companies. |
