Lax'aire Both cats LOVE this stuff! Have tried other brands because I couldn't find this locally-so glad you have it!I call out "delicious" and they come running! Lick it right off my fingers! Meow (thank you in cat language!) 05/08/2012
good stuff Both my cats, one finicky, one not so much both lick it right off my finger. The picky one needed a little encouragement which was easily achieved by rubbing it on his nose. So far, I think it's helping, no hairballs thrown up since inititiated! 03/20/2012
Disappointed We used to use Petromalt thick ‘paste’ – she loved it & would eat it directly from the tube. Now, however, they have changed the formula; not only is it extremely runny, but she hates the flavor, also. So when I read about Lax’aire I was hopeful, because it seemed more solid. Unfortunately, my cat did not go for this. It was still too runny, so I couldn’t take a chunk & put it in her mouth. After her first encounter, if she saw the tube again, she made herself scarce. I don’t know where to go from here…. Any suggestions? 03/19/2012
Bailey loves this! I have tried other brands to prevent hairballs and Bailey refuses to even taste them. She is a long- haired cat with lots of beautiful hair, and she really needs this product to help prevent hairballs. She loves her Lax'aire. 03/18/2012
Fantastico When they stopped manufacturing Lax'aire the world (at least for cats) got very complicated. We tried about 6 different products with a desperate sense of failure. Miss Mimi disliked them all and we had to basically force feed her. Miss Mimi is a very hairy feline with extreme habits of cleanliness and taste. We got the new Lax'aire and now she comes just by showing the tube and delights in taking it. It is a joy. We are very happy and Miss Mimi has reasserted her status as the most pampered cat in the universe. 03/11/2012

My cat has been on a prescription diet for 12 yr. She has been using Lax'aire, and a similar product for a couple of years with no problem. When I say similar, I mean the same ingredients.

A:
Hi Tsetsefly. Good question. There are no contraindications for using Lax'aire with any prescription foods, or any other prescriptions. It is always wise to check with your vet first, however, when using any product while the dog is on prescription medications and/or food.
