How it works:
Feeding your pet Instinct Raw Diet replaces your pet's everyday kibble or canned food. The food is kept in the freezer and you only remove the portion of food you plan on feeding your pet. For morning feeding, take out the medallions the night before. For evening feeding, take the medallions out in the morning. The medallions should be served cold when it is feeding time.
Cautions:
Wash hands before and after handling raw diets to prevent contaminating the food. Instinct Raw Frozen Diet is not recommended for dogs with immune system problems or pancreatitis.
Tips on serving:
•
Keep raw medallions frozen until ready to defrost. For morning meals, defrost the night before. For evening meals, defrost in the morning.
•
Defrost your pet's daily portion by thawing it in a covered container in the refrigerator. (Medallions take about 4-6 hours to defrost in the refrigerator.)
•
Serve thawed medallions in your pet's stainless steel dish. Food should still be cold to the touch when served.
Tips on handling:
•
Keep frozen until ready to defrost.
•
Wash hands before handling raw diets to prevent contaminating the food.
•
For maximum food safety and freshness, defrost your pets daily portion by thawing it in a covered container in the refrigerator. For ideal food safety, product should still be cold to the touch when served.
•
Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Use hot, soapy water to wash working surfaces, utensils (including cutting boards, preparation areas, and feeding bowls), hands, and any other items that touch or come into contact with raw meat or poultry.
•
If your pet does not consume all the food presented within 30 minutes, remove any leftovers and discard.
•
Use hot, soapy water to wash your hands and your pets bowl after each feeding.

Nature's Variety - Instinct Raw Diet Bison Formula:
Awesome for dogs with allergies
My Jack Russell has been on this for a couple of weeks now and just loves it. She suffers from seasonel allergies and is always chewing her feet until they are hairless and raw. Since she has been on this food her feet are returning to a healthy pink color and the hair is starting to grow back. And she has also gained all of her energy back which means I got my running partner back!

In an abundance of caution, I would suggest that if your pet cannot have chicken, since this food does contain chicken eggs, that you use a different food.
The recommended serving is based upon the weight and activity level of your dog. For dogs that weigh 16 - 25 pounds, the recommended serving is 6 - 9 ounces per day for active adult dogs, and 4 - 6 ounces per day for less active or overweight dogs.
I live in Las Vegas, NV & it gets really hot here sometime's early in the year compared to most place's so what I would like to know is how do you ship this product so it stay's fresh? Thank You
