What are Greenies JointCare Canine Treats?

Greenies JointCare Canine Treats are a delicious way to provide your dog with important nutrients (glucosamine, chondroitin, and Omega-3 fatty acids) to help maintain healthy joints and mobility.

For: Dogs (over 6 months and 15 lbs and over)

How it works:
Greenies JointCare Canine Treats contain green-lipped mussel and other ingredients (chicken cartilage, fish oil, and flaxseed) to provide natural sources of glucosamine, chondroitin, Omega-3 fatty acids (ETA, EPA, and DHA), vitamins (C and E), amino acids (glutamine and methionine) and minerals (zinc, copper, and manganese) to maintain healthy joint function and mobility.

Cautions:
As with any edible product, monitor your pet while feeding a treat. Gulping any item can be harmful or even fatal to a dog.

Directions:

•	Greenies JointCare treats can be given anytime on a daily basis as a preventative measure to actively nourish joints for all-size breeds that may be predisposed to hip and joint problems.

Tip: Fresh drinking water should always be available. Observe your pet while chewing to make sure the treat is not gulped down or swallowed in large chunks.

Information This is a comment to the others on here that have posted a review on their small dogs. It states on the directions that this chew is NOT RECOMMENDED FOR DOGS UNDER 15 POUNDS. 11/04/2012

Only Thing My Dog will Take My dog can sniff out medicine and spit it out of any item it is mixed in. I tried many chewy treats that contain glucosamine and she would simply sniff it and walk away. However, she loves these Greenies JointCare Dog Treats. She gladly accepts the treat and goes off to enjoy them as she does a dog bone. Each bar also contains 1000mg of Glucosamine so only one a day is needed. Greenies keep me from having to stuff tablets down her throat and for that I am thankful. 10/27/2012

Wonderful treats we love them!!! My Mastiff has elbow displashia since we have given him these treats along with his daily asprin we have seen great improvement (we did not see with just the asprin) with his functions as far as running around and not limping I would definitly recomend these they are good for them and do a wonderful job.!!:) 09/25/2012

Great Treat I have a 5lb Chihuhua, he goes nuts about these treats, I keep them by my Lazyboy chair and as soon as I sit down he comes and looks at me and then at the box. He knows that's where the good stuff is, and that's how he lets me know he wants some, and when he gets his treat, he runs under my desk to eat it, I love watching him, he is so cute 07/02/2012

Is it safe to give a dog under 15 pounds half of the greenie joint care treat?

What is the proper dose for XL dogs?

Thank you for your question Sergent, I'm afraid you are giving your furry buddy too many Greenies Joint care treats. Since he weighs 120lbs he should be getting no more than 2 per day under the large formula or 1 per day under the jumbo formula. You will be also saving money by not giving him too many treats.
