How this product should be used:
Apply generously into the ear canal. Gently massage the base of the ear. Allow pet to shake head, then clean excess with a cotton ball. For very dirty ears apply 2 to 3 times daily for several days. To keep your pet's ears clean and healthy, use 1 or 2 times weekly or as often as recommended by your veterinarian. Application after swimming is recommended.

If redness, irritation, or sensitivity occurs, discontinue use and contact your veterinarian.

Ear cleansing Ear cleansing solution works great... very good cleaning action and very effeciive in loosening up dirt and other material in the ear. I am going to try the Zymox next 04/29/2012

Very happy with this! I am very happy with this product! I clean my dogs ears with this about once per week. They keep his ears nice and healthy and clean. Before I started using this, my dog had wax build up in the ears and because of that got frequent ear infections... I used the Zymox to get rid of the infection and then in the between time, I use this to keep his ears from building up wax. Good stuff! 03/31/2012

Dog wants nothing to do with it I think it may burn his ears... I am able to clean his ears without this product with no problem, but once I use this, he uses his paw to keep me away (saddest thing lol) and tries to run away (which he doesnt do) 03/21/2012

Good product My shih tzu is always rubbing her ears and using the ear cleaning solution as directed has made quite a difference. It's easy to use and she doesn't mind it at all. I've noticed a reduction in her rubbing activities and our groomer even noticed a difference. I recommend this product for non-medical issues with your pets ears. 02/01/2012

1-800-PetMeds Ear Cleansing is good for the general Cleaning of the ears after swimming. If at some point your dog gets any type of bacterial, fungal, and yeast infections look into Zymox Otic. It is important to note when using Zymox not to use it with any other ear product.

Warming ear solutions?

Is it alright to warm ear cleansers and other ear solutions for a few seconds in the microwave? It seems that cold solution would be uncomfortable in the ears.

I would not warm in the microwave since it is difficult to know how hot the product really is. Instead, I would warm by placing bottle in a warm cup of water for a few minutes. I think you would be less likely to burn the animal.

Other than flushing eyes with water is there anything else that should be done when the animal shakes their head and gets the ear cleansing solution into the owners eyes?

Rinsing the eye with plain water should be enough. However, if the eye gets worse you should contact your doctor.
