How it works:
Each Dog Worms 3 chewable tablet contains pyrantel pamoate and praziquantel. Pyrantel pamoate causes the parasite to lose grip of the intestinal wall, which makes it pass out of the system naturally. Praziquantel damages the parasite's skin internally, so the parasite disintegrates and is removed by your dog's immune system.

What is this product used for: Dog Worms 3 chewable tablets are used for the treatment and control of roundworms (T. canis and T. leonine): hookworms (A. caninum, A. braziliense, U. stenocephala): and tapeworms (D. caninum, T. pisiformis) in dogs and puppies 12 weeks of age and older and weighing 6 lbs or more.
Availability: Dog Worms 3 is a non-prescription (OTC) product available as pork liver flavored chewable tablets in strengths for small dogs (6-25 lbs) and medium to large dogs (Over 25 lbs).
How this product should be used:
The usual dose of Dog Worms 3 for Small Dogs and Puppies weighing 6.0-12.0 lbs is 1 tablet. For dogs and puppies weighing 12.1-25 lbs give 2 tablets. Give tablets as a single dose.
For dogs weighing more than 25 lbs use the 114mg size. The usual dose of Dog Worms 3 for Medium and large dogs weighing 25.1-50 lbs is 1 tablet.
For dogs 50.1-100lbs give 2 tablets, for dogs 100.1-150 lbs give 3 tablets and for dogs 150.1-200 lbs give 4 tablets. Give tablets as a single dose.
Offer the proper dosage by hand or in the dog's food container, with or without food. Do not withhold food from your dog prior to or after treatment.
What are the side effects: Side effects that may occur can include vomiting, loose stools (with or without blood) and decreased activity following treatment. If you notice these signs, contact a veterinarian.
What special precautions are there: For use in dogs 12 weeks of age and older only. The safety of Dog Worms 3 chewable tablets in breeding dogs and pregnant bitches has not been determined. Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment and control of parasitism. In case of ingestion by humans, contact a physician immediately. Great Product
I highly recommend Dog Worms 3. It was a safe, quick and effective treatment for tapeworm for my two Boston Terrier mix dogs. I should mention that I tried this product only after two doses of prescription medication from my vet failed to rid my dogs of worms. So, the fact that an over-the-counter, inexpensive product worked so well is amazing! I did have to wrap the pills in cheese, though. The dogs wouldn't eat them otherwise.

Great product
Dog Worms 3 worked great and I'm very appreciative that I didn't struggle to get my dog to swallow it. It must taste great because my dog ate it and wanted more!

This product has been wonderful and my little yorkie is worm free! She is only 3.5 pounds so on the advice of our vet we gave her half a pill. Highly recommend it.

Hi there, and thank you for your question. The Dog Worms 3 is given as needed should you see evidence of worms in your pet's stool for example. It isn't necessary to give this medication on monthly basis. If you have more than one dog, you should treat all your pets to prevent re-infections from occuring.
I took my dogs into the vet because they had worms. 80 lb black lab, 50 lb bull terrier, and a 4 lb chihuahua. The vet medicated the dogs and recommended that they be medicated again in 3 weeks. The worm medication the vet used was Drancit. Can I use a different medication to worm my pets such as Dog worms 3 for the follow up medication rather than using the Drancit?
Hi there, you would give the first dose to kill any worms in your dogs system. Then as a precaution you would follow-up with a second dose 2-3 weeks to kill any young worms (eggs that might have hatch) .
