Cholodin

Waste of money
I am almost at the end of a bottle and have seen no difference in my 16 year old Jack Russell. I have even doubled the dose to no avail. I purchased after reading the reviews on this site and hoped it would provide some relief from signs of dementia (pacing aimlessly for hours on end, loss of interest in playing or receiving affection). There has been no change in his behavior.

Couldn't Be Without It
My older border collie was so confused she was getting lost (and scared) in the hall of our home. I am not exagerating. She would be so confused and scared a lot of places. Since taking the Cholodin, she is so great. Even though she can't hear, when she sees you motion to her she comes running from across the yard. She even has enough going on that she continues to correct my other younger males. She has always been the queen of everything and she is once again. . .

Can't believe it!
Our 14 year old Lhasa Apso had to have extensive surgery 2 mos ago. He had a little dementia before the surgery, but was totally miserable following it. He was falling off his favorite chair, had leg tremors, couldn't figure out how to get around furniture or how to lie down, and was always very cold. The expression on his face was confused and dazed. We had kind of given up hope, and decided that this was how it was going to be for him-until we found this product!. 1 1/2 weeks later, he is jumping and playing better than before the surgery. He is no longer cold, and although one leg still shakes a little, it is not nearly as severe. He recognizes and greets family members again too! Can't wait to see what he will be like a month from now.
He weighs 16 pounds, so we only give him 1/4 pill per day. (He has a very sensitive stomach, but so far, no problems with digestion or hyperactivity as some other people reported.) He HATES the taste of it, so we mash it in his food.
You must try this supplement for your elderly dog!

Absolutely Amazing!
My 13 year old dog was showing signs of "doggie dementia" (Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome). He was getting lost in our house, frequently stared into space and was up all night with anxiety-based insomnia. When he went outside to go potty, he would just stand there with a dazed look on his face, seemingly forgetting where he was or why he was there. He's been on Cholodin for a week now and what a difference! Almost all of the symptoms have disappeared except for a rare dazed look which clears up within a minute or two. He's also walking better (he has severe arthritis) and is overall more energetic. He hasn't had any side effects at all. We have our dog back!!!!

Cholodin for older dogs
On the recommendation of a friend I gave this to my 12 year old German shepherd female. She is in exceptionally good shape for her age but is slowing down and seemed a bit dull/distracted. Right away she was perkier and more active and started *flirting* with my 6 year old male! The only down side is I believe it gives off an odor which is stimulating to the other dogs as my 9 year old female now is more likely to behave aggressively toward her after smelling her. So, I halved the dosage and it seems fine.

9 Questions · 12 Answers Ask & Answer.Talk to other pet lovers about this product. Q: I have a 14 yr old sheltie. Shes about 25 lbs. She is currently taking:Adequan (7mg injection every 2 months) Deramaxx (25mg daily) Cosequin (1 chewable daily) However she has all the age related problems listed under "What is Cholodin ?". I'm hoping she will benefit from Cholodin, but I don't know if adding it is too much. If so, can I replace Cosequin with Cholodin or do you think the two is better? And do you think Cholodin can replace Deramaxx? I'd rather her not be on Deramaxx if possible. Thanks for your help. AnswersA: For senior pets, Cholodin is an excellent product. Unfortunately, Cholodin is not a substitute for Cosequin, nor is is it a substitute for Deramaxx. However, using Cosequin can sometimes allow for a lower dose of Deramaxx, depending on how severe the pet's symptoms are.Note: Any trademarks are the property of their respective companies. |
