Allermyl Shampoo is rated 4.6667 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick Results In taking our yellow lab to the vet, we discovered she has skin allergies. She was so badly broken out with a rash. We tried a shampoo the vet gave us but didn't have good results. I discovered this shampoo through this website, as we have shopped here before, and decided to give it a try. One bath and there has been a dramatic improvement. I would recommend trying this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product is OK The vet wants my small dog on this product for her scratching. But it doesn't really help. She has hair, not fur, and is always scratching. The only reason I keep her on this shampoo is because she doesn't mind it and it doesn't irritate her eyes or make her sick when she licks it. Other shampoos did that. So it's a trade off - clean dog v. sick dog. I prefer clean. Just wish it did help with her 15-year old dry skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Allermyl I love the way the Allermyl shampoo makes my German Shepherds coat feel. She has airborne allergies and the shampoo really helps. Before using it I had problems with skin infections from her scratching all the time causing bare spots. After discovering Allermyl her coat has grown back in full an shiny. I couldn't be happier with a product. She doesn't shed as much either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is a lifesaver. I am a grad student who can not afford to take my dog (french bulldog) to the vet every time she has an allergy outbreak. I left my dog with my mother. My mother called me worried because my Frenchie had hives and welts all over her body. I placed an order for this shampoo since her vet has prescribed this in the past. After one shampoo my mother told me it went away and she her skin looks better. This shampoo truly works....it is easy to follow.... I'm amazed! saved myself a payment to the vet and ordered two bottles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Will Try Again But Not What I Had Hoped My mini schnauzer is extremely allergic to numerous things so I was praying this would help ease her skin rashes. I tried it twice (following the prescribed time schedule) with no real results. Not better but not worse either. Then she became quite sick from a food reaction so I had to stop her bath routine until she was better. Will try her on the shampoo again in the next day or so. Fingers crossed this time...

Q&A

Can I use this on my cat if he has itchy patches under his fur ?

Asked by: Roger That
Yes it can be used on cats and dogs. However, I would try using hydrocortisone spray first to see if that relieves those itchy patches. If it doesn't, then I would try using the shampoo.

Product Use

The product states that it is for Veterinary Use Only. Please explain what this means. It also states that it can be used 2 - 3 times week for the first 2 weeks. How often should it be used after the initial 2 weeks?
Asked by: Libby
It should only be used on animals such as cats and dogs. Within the first two weeks, the allergy should be cleared up but I would use it once a month as a maintenance to help ward off further allergic reactions.

Will this shampoo remove Advantix/Frontline?

Asked by: Louis
Not as long as you wait at least 48 hours before bathing your dog after applying the Frontline. The Frontline is absorbed by the skin by that time and can't be washed off.
